8-9 years Beginners

Schedule:

  • Friday 17h30 - 18h30
  • Saturday 10h00 - 11h00

Technical:

  • 3 ukemis (ushiro, yoko et Zenpo kaiten)
  • 6 throwing techniques (Nage waza): o goshi, ippon seoi nage, o soto gari, koshi-guruma, de ashi barai, o uchi gari
  • immobilizations + 3 escapes
  • ground techniques (4) : on all fours, simple flip (uke on the belly) , semi-nelson , pushing the tori’s knee while on one’s back
  • lateral displacement with a partner (standing)

  • randori – (free-style sparring) standing and on the ground, correctly (stance, flexed arms, lateral displacement). Randoris lasting 2 minutes

Physical fitness and general motor skills:

  • warming-up games (8-10)
  • movements on all fours

  • spider-crawl forward/backward, side rolls, etc.

  • push-ups, leap-frogs, shoulder bridges left/ right

  • different ways of crawling (3-4 façons)
  • forward and backward rolls

  • head bridges

  • cartwheels left and right and on one arm

  • opposition games

Judo theory:

  • Judo etiquette (bowing, an-za, sei-za, lining up, bowing before/after an exercise, bowing to the tatami))

  • Some Judo vocabulary ( sensei, dojo, etc, the name of their club (club de judo- Olympique), counting in Japanese, names of the techniques)

  • The rules of the sport (points, penalties, what is permitted or forbidden)

Psychological preparation:

  • Introducing: Stress management: grade exams (advancing in belt colors) and house tournament participation (in December and May)

  • Controlling negative emotions: discipline and self-control and resolving little conflicts between the kids

YEAR-END EVALUATION (MAY ):yellow belt
